大東山 / Sunset Peak
位於大嶼山的大東山北面大部分被天然林地覆蓋，而大東山的東北面亦有另一片林地，面積約331公頃。
The north face of Sunset Peak, Lantau is largely covered with natural woodland. Isolated patches of woodlands also occur in the vavines on the north-east face. The area is about 331 hectares.
作為香港佔地最廣的天然山林地區之一，大東山擁有多樣化的植物品種當中包括如 穗花杉丶馬蹄荷丶光蠟樹和木蓮等稀有樹木。該地亦有一定數量的草本丶蕨類及苔類植物。
This is one of the most extensive areas of montane natural woodland in Hong Kong.
The flora is rich and includes rare trees such as Amentotaxus argotaenia, Exbucklandia populnea, Fraxinus formosana and Manglietia fordiana.
Herbs, tree ferns and delicate ferns and mosses are also well represented in this area.

所有官地作上的植物都受到《林區及郊區條例》的保護， 但該地點有機會遭受山火的侵害。
Being a site on Crown Land, the plants are under the general protection of the Forestry Ordinance. However the site is vulnerable to bush-fire.
