蠔涌村以西及西北方一直延伸到飛鵝山和水牛山的山谷及山坡上佈滿了不同的植物，山谷上層的植物品種更為豐富，當中包括稀有的蘭花丶蕨類和草本植物。

The ravines and hillsides running west and northwest from Ho Chung Village into the mountain mass of Fei Ngo Shan and Buffalo Hill are clothed with vegetation, which contains a rich flora including rare orchids, ferns and herbs, especially in the upper ravines.
